The Easter bunny has come and gone, leaving in its path a delicious abundance of Cadbury's Mini Eggs.
This past festive weekend was a bit of a new one for Sinéad and I. Unlike previous years, we did not have the traditional Easter dinner. Instead, we were treated to a delicious Italian inspired breakfast at home and a wonderfully luxurious and well earned Saturday filled with movies and treats. Sunday, however, was a day of feasts! We met some friends for an early breakfast at Dishoom (our restaurant of choice for any occasion) where we easily ate up some amazing dishes...and our two hour table time. In an attempt to build back up our appetites Sinéad, myself, Matt and Pernille decided to take in bits of sun (where we could find it) and explore the area, ducking into shops and classic Edinburgh closes along the way. After our walk we jaunted off to lunch where we were treated to another Middle Eastern feast with some other great friends at Pomegranate, a restaurant Sinéad and I had desperately wanted to try. The entire meal was fantastic as we chatted for hours in the back of the restaurant as appetisers and mains filled the table. I can honestly say I could not consume another bite for the rest of the day. After we said our goodbyes, Sinéad and I made the trek back to our flat to enjoy the remaining hours of what turned out to be a fantastic and very delicious weekend!
